Love by Sharon Eyal
Love is a many-splendored thing...
...so the lyrics goes, and so is this performance. Eyal's piece Love is a fascinating study into movement structures, all hypnotically wonderful and precise. In a raw and physically challenging movement language undertones of Love seeps through.
Eyal created Love for the acknowledged choreographer Ohad Naharin's Batsheva Dance Company in Israel i 2003 - overwhelming both the audience and the critics.
Carte Blanche had the honor of introducing both Eyal and the piece to a Scandinavian audience in September 2005. Since then, the company has performed it in a number of occasions, both in full and the solos alone, nationally and internationally.
