Jennifer Dubreuil Houthemann

Jennifer Dubreuil Houthemann was born in 1987 in Brest in the west of France. Starting dancing at the age of five, she continued in classical dance until she joined Conservatoir national superieur de musique et de danse de Lyon in 2004-2007 studying contemporary dance.
Since 2007-2009 she joined D.A.N.C.E (Dance Aprentice Network aCross Europe) under the artistic direction of William Forsythe, Wayne McGregor, Frederic Flamand and Angelin Preljocaj.
Houthemann holds a bachelor in literature and has studied anatomy, music and history of dance in addition to her dance studies.
Jennifer Dubreuil Houthemann has choreographed since 2005 and often in collaboration with musicians. She choreographed a solo to Roméo et Juliette by Thaikovsky for dancer, alto and piano in 2005/2007 and in 2008 she collaborated with musicians in Ensemble Carpe Diem during the Festival Berlioz in France.
The dance contract she now holds with Carte Blanche is Houthemann’s first fulltime job as a dancer, joining the company in August 2009.
