Camilla Spidsøe Cohen

Camilla Spidsøe Cohen (1977) is from Trondheim, Norway. She studied ballet at Oslo National Academy of the Arts from 1993 - 1996, and at Centro Internazional de Danza de Madrid in the years 1996– 1997.
Being employed by the National Ballet in 1997 she stayed for six years, performing in several central rolles in many a performance, and especially appreciates having worked with Mats Ek, Jiri Kilyan, Paul Lightfoot, Jo Strømgren, Kjersti Alveberg and Ingun Bjørnsgaard. Camilla stated dancing for Carte Blanche autumn 2003, and rapidly exposed her talents, especially in Ohad Naharin's Minus2/Dans.
Spidsøe Cohen has been rewarded several prices, amongst others the prestigeous Critics' Price from the Norwegian Board of Critics for her contribution in the performance Carte Blanche á la Naharin i 2006.
She is currently representing the dancers in the Carte Blanche Board, and is married to dancer Yaniv Cohen.
